Every Bike in Bristol

So I have started this project where im trying to tell the story of every bike in Bristol one line at a time. Im taking photos of bikes and tracing them with one line. As well as tracing the bikes im trying to get people to tell me their bike stories. I have started to hang little tags on interesting looking bikes directing people to the website where they can share their bike stories. I plan to produce art work, prints and zine sorta things based upon the stories. So if anyone has a bike story to tell me, head over to the submit a story page and it will be much appreciated.

This beauty here is the BÖIKZMÖIND ‘Boik’, lovingly put together by the excellent Freshtripe! This project has been ongoing for a long time and has had it’s fair share of trials & tribulations but it was finally finished last weekend and was proudly displayed for the first time at the Bristol Bespoked bike show at the Freshtripe stand!

My favourite part is the white-on-white graphics which have been applied to the frame of the bike, it’s only under closer inspection in the right light that the frame reveals statistics from the films creation!

You can see it in the flesh at the BÖIKZMÖIND Screening + DVD/Book launch + Q&A which is happening this coming Easter Monday, 3pm at The Watershed cinema here in Bristol! There’s not many tickets left, so grab yours here and you can also pre-order your DVD/Book to pick-up from the launch too!

So I’ve entered this design competition to win a nice new Sony DSLR. You have to come up with a cover for Playstation’s Access magazine. Iv’e entered an illustration I did a while back just because I have nothing to loose. It’s been up there a few days now and has no votes :( The entries that are winning look like they have been designed by kids who think that opening Photoshop and licking Sony’s ass makes them designers.
